GENEROUS GIVING DRAMATICALLY REDUCES SHORTFALL Print E-mail
Thanks to the generous giving by members and friends of First Church, the 2007 Budget shortfall for Current Expense presented at the Annual Meeting on February 4 has been significantly reduced from $97,000 to $16,000.

God’s Spirit has moved so many in our congregation to a new level of generous giving.  We are grateful for those who have pledged and for all of those who were able to increase their original pledge.

We have nearly achieved a financial miracle.  We hope to completely eliminate the shortfall by the Special Meeting of the Congregation on April 22 and then join in a glorious celebration of a job well done by all.

In the meantime, we continue to invite others, who are able, to pledge or increase their pledge so all of the vital ministries that are making a positive difference in the lives of our members, our community, and the world are fully funded for 2007.
