Prayer Group Forming: At the request of Salisha Miller, the new Director of Pilgrim Fellowship, Kendrick is forming a prayer group which will meet once a month to pray for the Pilgrim Fellowship and its leadership.  If you are interested, please let Kendrick know at 203-453-5249 or This email address is being protected from spambots. The Harvest Fair Toy Room will again feature children’s toys, games, puzzles, video games and DVDs.  Please keep us in mind when you are cleaning out the toy box!  Donations can be picked up, or brought to the Spencer House garage for storage until November or brought three days before the Fair during set-up. The Harvest Fair Plant Room will once again be featuring indoor plants, silk flower arrangements, gardening books, herbal soaps, and decorative garden accessories.  A new offering this year will be natural beeswax candles.  Please keep us in mind when propagating your indoor plants, and clearing out your garden sheds and book shelves.  Donations will be picked up starting on the last week of September.  Call Holly Bollier at 203-458-0776 with any questions.

A tisket a tasket ~ Got too many baskets? Donate them to the Gift Basket table at the Harvest Fair. Baskets of any size or material (wicker, metal, etc) - in good condition and clean – will be accepted. If you have goods or services you would like to donate for a themed gift basket (perhaps gardening, baby, celebration, food, reading, kidsitting,or  leaf raking/lawn care) please call Andrea Schmidt (203-458-2872) or Peggy Russell (203-458-0660).

Pakistani Flood Relief: The Church World Service Pakistani staff is working to provide the basics of food packages, shelter materials and non-food essentials to families who have been displaced by the worst flooding there in 80 years.  CWS medical teams are also there to provide emergency health services.  You may contribute by check payable either to: Church World Service or to First Congregational Church, Guilford, FOR "Pakistani Flood Relief." Please drop it in the offering plate or at the Church Office.

Guilford Food Bank Needs: 100% fruit juices; canned fruit, tuna, ham, hash, stews; pancake/meal/potato/cake mixes; boxed mac & cheese; dry milk, canned tomato products, dry cereal.  Please leave your donations in the narthex.

We welcome to our church life all who seek the presence of God, no matter where you are on your faith journey.  We offer Inquirers’ Meetings to those interested in learning more about First Church and the United Church of Christ.  These meetings are also for those who seek membership, and are especially helpful to those coming from a different denomination or faith background.  The Inquirer/

New Member Meeting will be held on Sunday, May 6th at 11:30am in the Minear Library in Spencer House. Child care is available; please call the Church Office to request it.  Light refreshments will be offered.  New members will be received on May 13th during the 10:00am service. If you have questions, please speak with a minister.
