You are invited to come to CSB Rm # 5 (across from Daphne’s office) to discuss your ideas, complete a survey, or just share thoughts about our current Christian Education ministry. Please stop by! If you are unable to stop today, please take the time to complete a Survey – copies are in the narthex - and return it to the Church Office. Thank you!

To All Chairpersons From the Board of Finance: As a reminder, June 10th is the deadline for all committee budgets to be submitted to the Board of Finance. Please mail them to the Church Office to the attention of the Bd. of Finance or drop them off at Spencer House. Thank you.

Alpha Club Meeting: The next meeting is Tues., May 27th at 7:30pm in Fellowship Hall when Jennifer Peterson of Southbury will speak about Giving Hope, a joint project of the CT Women of the UCC and Church World Service which assists African Street children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. All are welcome!

Service of Prayer and Healing Wednesday, May 28th at 7:00pm: All are invited to this peaceful and reflective service which focuses on prayer and healing. Prayers are silent and spoken, music is meditative and we offer the laying on of hands and anointing with oil for those who desire it. Near this time of the summer solstice we, who are people of the Light, seek healing and wholeness for the broken ones and the dark times and places around the world.

Summertime Nursery Care – During June, July and August we want to continue to provide nursery care for children, our own church’s children and also for visitors. We invite you to sign up with a friend or relative for 1 or 2 Sundays at the 10:00am service. The sign-up sheet is in the narthex and instructions are in the nursery. Thank you!

“Journeys in a Jet Age” – is our weeklong vacation program for children who have completed Kindergarten up through Grade 6. It will meet Monday, June 23 – Thursday, June 26th from 9:00am – noon in the Church School Building. The children will “visit” Thailand, Central America, Switzerland and Iran. A pot-luck supper and program will be held for participants and their families on Thursday, June 26th at 6:00pm. Details and registration forms are available in the narthex.

Photos Needed for the new pictorial directory we are planning. We need photographs of usual happenings and special events around the church. If you have pictures or digital images you can share, please give them to Kendrick. Sittings are set for August and November; the sittings in August are especially to accommodate families with college students: August dates are: Fri., August 8th 3:30 – 9:00pm and Sat., August 9th noon-5pm.

Continuing the Sacred Conversation: We do plan on actively pursuing our sacred conversation on race in America with multiple programs in the fall. If you are interested in being on a committee to plan some of these programs, please contact Kendrick.
