Today’s Adult Forum at 11:15am will meet in the Chapel. Today we welcome Aida Mansoor from the Muslim Coalition of Connecticut to help us understand more about the Muslim faith tradition. The Coalition is involved in Habitat for Humanity and hunger relief programs – do check out their website.
Deacons’ Fund Collection: In the pew rack you will find Deacons’ Discretionary Fund envelopes. Contributions are used by our ministers to meet urgent needs in our community. Thank you.

ANNOUNCEMENTSCelebrating Mother’s Day: All are invited to honor their own mothers, and mothers everywhere, with the donation of baby items for the Guilford Food Bank: jars of baby food, formula, diapers, etc. A collection box is in the narthex.
Photos Needed: We are beginning to plan for a new pictorial directory. We need photographs of usual happenings and special events around the church. If you have pictures or digital images you can share, please give them to Kendrick.
Children’s Day Worship, Next Sunday - Church School children should meet with their teachers in their classrooms no later than 9:40am (or earlier if their teachers give special instructions.) They will sit together by class during worship. After worship everyone is invited to a reception in Fellowship Hall.
Roslyn Young Memorial Concert Today at 4:00pm - Sanctuary Featuring works of Handel, Telemann, Vivaldi, Bach and Scarlatti, performed on period instruments by Sonata a Quattro, directed by Judson Griffin. Roslyn, daughter of Jean Young, was a violinist and violist who grew up in Guilford. Suggested donation of $25. For information call Karen Young (207)338-2199.
Continuing the Sacred Conversation: We do plan on actively pursuing our sacred conversation on race in America with multiple programs in the fall. If you are interested in being on a committee to plan some of these programs, please contact Kendrick.
Pinchbeck Scholarships: Applications are being accepted for the William E. & Harriet W. Pinchbeck scholarship. Forms are in a manila envelope on the Church Office door. Completed applications are due in the Church Office by June 1st. Recipients will be notified in early June. For information, call Gail Thompson at 458-7938.
‘Hope Springs Eternal’ Concert Next Sunday 4 pm in our Sanctuary benefits The Cove for Grieving Children. Presented by School for Strings cellist Ann West & students, pianists Rosemarie Tamburri, Kris Iverson and Vicky Reeve; violinist Catherine Dailey, our Junior Choir and others. Free will offering. Pilgrim Fellowship Mission Trip Presentation Sunday, June 8th Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro will be the guest speaker at PF’s last event, speaking in the Sanctuary at about 7:00pm preceding the 2008 Mission Trip DVD presentation.
