People:    We know the beauty of God’s creation and the wonder of human family.  We remember those whose love has shaped our lives and those whose struggle for justice has been unsleeping even in nighttimes of loneliness.

Leader:    We gather in our church to worship God, to share prayers and gifts, to pledge ourselves to God’s work in the world.
People:    May God bless us, so that what we do in this time together may be honest, sacred and filled with hope.

The rose on the Communion Table celebrates the June 17th birth of Lila Catharine Robert, daughter of Marc and Andrea Robert, granddaughter of Clare and Patrick Robert.

The flowers today are given in thanksgiving for the birth of their granddaughter, Lila, by Clare and Patrick Robert.

Associate Pastor Search Committee Update: For the past two months, the APSC has been working to complete the Local Church Profile (LCP), which provides information about our community, our church and the associate minister’s position at First Church.  Your input through the surveys, as well as your conversation during the fireside chats, has been incorporated into this document.  On June 14 we presented the LCP to Church Council, inviting their questions, and all expressed great appreciation for the time and effort put forth.  The next step is to finalize some details and then post the job opening over the summer so we can begin receiving ministerial profiles.  The APSC thanks everyone for their prayers as we enter this next phase.

Euchre Card Night, Saturday July 9th. First-timers or long-timers, single or with a partner… everyone is welcome!  We meet in Griswold Hall (2nd floor of the Church School Building.).  Come at 6:15 for a lesson/refresher, or at 6:45 to play for the evening.  Water & popcorn & water provided; bring a snack or soft drink to share if you wish.  Questions?
