Leader: Beloved in Christ, the Gospel tells us that on the first day of the week, Jesus Christ was raised from death, appeared to Mary Magdalene, on that same day sat at table with two disciples and was made known to them in the breaking of the bread.
All: This is the joyful feast of the people of God. Men and women, youth and children, come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and gather about Christ’s table.

Our Annual Meeting will be held in the Sanctuary immediately following the 10:00am worship service. All are invited to attend however, only members may vote. Child care is available – please move your child from her/his classroom to Room 1 on the first floor of the Church School Bldg (the “3’s and Under” classroom) so we will know for which children we are responsible. A Luncheon, hosted by the Board of Deaconesses, follows the Annual Meeting; to which all are invited.

The Annual Meeting of the First Congregational Church of Guilford, Inc., will be held on Sunday morning, February 6, 2011, at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary, directly following the 10:00am service to:
1. Receive and act upon the reports and recommendations of the Ministers,
2. Receive and act upon the reports and recommendations of the Boards, Committees and Organizations of the church,
3. Act upon the proposed 2011 Operating Budget, as submitted by Church Council,
4. Act upon the proposed 2011 Community and World Concerns budget, as submitted by the CWC Board,
5. Receive the report of the Nominating Committee and act upon their recommendations for Officers and Members of Boards and Committees of the church.

Family Heritage Dinner Friday, Feb. 11th 6:00pm - Join us for a pot luck family dinner – you are invited to bring (1) a dish to share from your tradition, whatever that may be and (2) a brief description of your family heritage. (If you forget, we'll have paper, pencils, and crayons on the tables for you!) There will be a map and pins to mark the places from where your family comes. Peace, Affirmation, and Justice Committee will provide mac & cheese, plain pasta, coffee, tea, and juice.
Miss the Euchre Card Night? Join us for the next one on Saturday, Feb 19th! Come alone, bring a partner or friend, or your family! (Only adults will play euchre; there will be activities for children.) Meet in Griswold Hall (2nd floor Church School Bldg) at 6:45pm so we can determine the progressive slots and begin play by 7:00.
