First Church

Senator Tom Daschle of SD is the new Department of Health and Human Services secretary designee.  In his effort to address healthcare reform during this holiday season, Senator Daschle is seeking to gather citizen groups all around the nation to give input from different segments of the population.  These gatherings will be held in many different places. 

First Church in Guilford (122 Broad Street) will host such a group on Wednesday, January 7 at 7 p.m.  It is non-denominational and open to everyone who wants to give input. 

The moderator for this gathering will be Dr. K. J.  Lee, who has lectured nationally and internationally on surgeries as well as on health policies and has worked in the Obama Healthcare Advisory Group.  The forum is non-partisan and informal.  It is an opportunity for people who have an interest and care about healthcare in our nation to express their thoughts.  Dr. Lee will see that ideas expressed are passed along to the new administration through Senator Daschle.  We are extending this opportunity to everyone in our communities.
