First Church

The Music Committee invites you to attend our final Joyful Noise! Concert of the season, THIS Sunday May 23rd at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. You really don't want to miss this one.

Broadway on Broad Street, Part Deux – A concert of show tunes featuring the musical talents from within the First Church family including the Junior Choir along with other youth and adult singers.This should prove to be another wildly entertaining event where you never know what to expect. Musical selections will range from classic musicals (including "Annie Get Your Gun" "Annie" "Porgy and Bess" "South Pacific" and "Hello Dolly") to current Broadway productions (including TWO songs from "Avenue Q" so hold onto your seats!). A great time for folks of all ages. No charge for admission.  A free will offering will benefit the Myrtha Licht Music Fund at First Church.

We have a great variety of participants from within the First Church family participating in this concert including Bill Speed on piano (and some vocals!), Cyndie Hasty, Brian Gillie, Victoria Font Newman (singing a song by composer Stephen Schwartz from his show "Children of Eden" on which she worked with him while it was in development), Lisa Barberio singing "O Bless the Lord, My Soul" from Godspell, along with some amazing youth talent.  And of course, what musical event at First Church would be complete with Liza Catino - certainly not THIS one.  Come and see what they've all got in store for you.
